What’s a piece of media (book, movie, song) that changed how you see the world?

There are so many things, but if I have to choose one I would say Pride and Prejudice.

That book changed me and my sense of being, I fell in love with Mr. Darcy and specially Jane Austen. Reading the book was my coming of age. It was fantastic. It changed how I saw relationships and love.

As a child I always thought that love was all rainbows and sunshine, but after reading the book I realized it was so much more. It is not always simple, there is anger, chaos, banter, actions, fights, doing things for each other, it’s selfless, it’s it everything and nothing.

I always holds Pride and Prejudice close to heart, it’s till date my favourite book, and it stays undefeated.

And then I also watched the 2005 movie, and I fell in love with Matthew Macfadyen’s Mr. Darcy portrayal.
